Hyderabad: Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) Basar on Tuesday launched Physics Hub, a cutting-edge interactive online physics learning portal. The portal was developed by Dr G Devaraju, Head, Department of Physics. Students can access it by clicking https://physicsportal-app.web.app/.
The Physics Hub is a comprehensive web-based platform that hosts a rich collection of interactive simulations spanning key areas of physics, including Mechanics and Optics, topics that form the conceptual backbone of the curriculum for PUC-I, PUC-II and Engineering Physics students.
The portal is specifically designed to facilitate conceptual understanding by allowing students to visualise, manipulate and experiment with physical phenomena in a virtual environment. The simulations are accessible to approximately 1,500 students enrolled across these courses at RGUKT Basar.
Launching the Physics Hub, RGUKT Vice Chancellor in-charge Prof A Govardhan observed that learning physics from textbooks alone can be challenging and not every student finds it accessible in the traditional mode. He said that the interactive simulations offered through the Physics Hub would empower students to understand difficult concepts in an intuitive and engaging manner.
