RGUKT Basar student dies by suicide in Nirmal
An 18-year-old first-year engineering student at RGUKT Basar allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday. The cause remains unknown.
Nirmal: A female student of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT) died, allegedly by suicide, on the Basar campus on Wednesday.
Police said R Vasantha (18), a first-year engineering student from Wanaparthy, resorted to the drastic step inside the university. The reason for her extreme step is yet to be ascertained, and further details of the incident are awaited.
University officials are reported to have shifted the body to a government hospital in Bhainsa. They were criticised by student unions for silently rushing the body to the hospital; however, the officials did not make any statement regarding the suicide.
