Mancherial: Additional Collector D Madusudan Naik instructed the officials concerned and rice millers to achieve targets with regard to transportation of paddy to rice mills.
Speaking after inspecting four rice mills at Sabbepalli village in Hajipur mandal on Sunday, Madusudan directed the officials and millers to shift both raw and boiled rice which were pending and to reach their respective goals. He cautioned that action would be taken against those millers who show laxity in transporting the grains. He asked them to operate mills for 24 hours a day.
The Additional Collector told the millers to lay a special focus on loading and unloading the grains. He instructed the officials of the agriculture department to create awareness among farmers over crop diversification and to make agriculture profitable by growing vegetables, dry-wet and fruit crops.
He visited a social welfare residential hostel for girls and inspected the implementation of the mid-day meal programme in district headquarters.
