Hyderabad: Countering the TPCC Disciplinary Committee’s remarks for discussing party affairs in media, Sangareddy MLA T Jagga Reddy demanded that TPCC president A Revanth Reddy should first be made to present himself before the Committee.
TPCC Disciplinary Committee chief G Chinna Reddy on Friday said writing a letter to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi amounts to a violation of disciplinary rules. Party affairs should not be discussed in the media and if there are any issues, party leaders should speak with party in-charge leaders, he said.
Taking serious objection to these remarks, Jagga Reddy asked the party leadership as to how they got the information about his letter to the AICC chief. “Did any leader lodge a complaint with TPCC?” he asked.
“During Huzurabad by-poll campaign, TPCC suddenly declared a Peddapally native as the candidate without consulting AICC or State leadership. Does that not amount to a violation of disciplinary rules?” asked Jagga Reddy.
Further, without consulting the local MLA, the Rachabanda programme was conducted in Erravalli. “Does this not amount to working against party guidelines or rules?” he questioned. “Since the TPCC Disciplinary Committee chief spoke about party affairs in the media, I am compelled to give a reply through media,” said Jagga Reddy.
