Visakhapatnam: Production in RINL-Visakhapatnam steel plant was interrupted on Tuesday due to a snag in the thermal power plant (TPP)-1.

There was a power trip in the operating panel-9 of the TPP1 which saw charring of the cables leading to backfire in the boilers. As many as five boilers stopped functioning resulting in power production.
