Four players shared the lead in the Juniors category, while three topped the Open group after three rounds of the Brilliant Trophy Chess Tournament at Brilliant Grammar School, Hyderabad, with key matches closely contested

Hyderabad: Four players — Hayagriva Maruthi, Mukunda Kaunteya, Sri Charantej, and Ranavaditya — shared the lead with three points each from three rounds in the Juniors category of the 232nd Brilliant Trophy Open Chess Tournament at Brilliant Grammar School (Dilsukhnagar) here on Saturday.

In the Open category, Rishi Pallagani, Sumanth Mamidala, and Varshith are in the lead with three points each out of three rounds, while Nigama Sree and Manoj Reddy are in second spot with 2.5 points.
