Rithvika clinches gold as Vritti shines with silver double

Rithvika won gold in the 50m breaststroke and added two more medals at the Senior National Aquatics Championship, while Telangana’s Vritti claimed two silvers and a bronze in freestyle events

Hyderabad: Mittapalli Rithvika of Telangana put up an impressive performance, winning a gold, two silver, and a bronze in the 78th Senior National Aquatics Championship at Bhubaneswar.

Rithvika bagged gold with a timing of 33.98 in the 50m breaststroke for women. Harshitha Jayram of RSPB (34.21) and Avni Chahabra of Punjab (34.51) settled for silver and bronze respectively.


Vritti Agarwal of Telangana settled for silver in the 1500m freestyle (17:42.36) and 800m freestyle (9:18.16) events, besides a bronze in the 400m freestyle (4:30.05).
