Nirmal: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy launched road-cleaning vehicles purchased as part of the Pattana Pragathi scheme in Nirmal town on Monday.
Indrakaran Reddy said that steps were being taken to develop Nirmal town as a model civic body. He stated that vehicles bought by the municipality would be used for ensuring better cleanliness on the roads. He added that cleanliness plays a vital role in keeping many diseases at bay. He requested the public to wear face masks, sanitise hands and practice physical distance to prevent Covid-19.
Earlier, the Minister flagged off the vehicles which left for the inauguration of Dalit Bandhu scheme in Huzurabad. He said that Dalit Bandhu was a historical scheme introduced by a State in the country. He opined that the initiative would help weaker sections achieve financial empowerment. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is always committed to the welfare of downtrodden communities, he added.
