Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police booked three persons on charges of attacking a motorist in a case of road rage over honking.
Police said Mohd Mustaq, a fish vendor from Netaji Nagar along with his friend Inayath Ali were returning after completing a work at Charminar late on Sunday night, when the incident occurred.
When the duo reached GTN Colony signal, Mustaq who was driving honked at three youngsters Vinay, Vinod and Bunny, allegedly driving a bike in a rash manner.
“Mustaq asked them to drive properly. This led to an argument between them and the trio overtook Mustaq’s bike, stopped him and picked up an argument. Then they assaulted him,” police said.
Based on a complaint on Monday, the Jubilee Hills police booked a case and took up investigation.
