Hyderabad: In order to provide a touch-and-feel experience for consumers and retailers about their bathroom fittings and pipes, Roca India is all set to open first studio in Hyderabad – and eighth in India – by the end of this year. The studio will be spread across 6,000 sft of space and will display live bathrooms with products like faucets, bathtubs, basins and showers from its brands Roca and Parryware.
The studio will also be used to conduct training sessions apart from creating brand awareness among consumers about different products that the company offers.
“The 6,000 sft studio will have over 100 different models of bathroom fittings and our new product from the pipes vertical on display. It will most likely come up in the western part of the city and will entail an investment of Rs 2 crore to Rs 3 crore,” said KE Ranganathan, MD, Roca Bathroom Products.
The fully-owned subsidiary of Roca, a Spanish sanitary ware product maker, Roca India already has seven such studios in India and plans to set up more in other cities. The experience centre will also showcase their new tech-oriented products like Bluetooth-enabled shower, anti-microbial seal and cover toiletries, and touch-free bathroom fittings among other new-age products.
In the post pandemic world, the company has witnessed a growth rate of 60 per cent in 2021 so far compared with 2020. In Telangana, the company has a market share of 24 per cent and the sanitary ware market is worth Rs 500 crore in the State. About 1,000 shops in Hyderabad alone sell their products across different price ranges and brands. The company has already launched its pipes products and also bathroom cleaning products in Telangana, which include cleaners and sanitizers for bathrooms.
