Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao said the role of Electricity department employees in the separate Statehood movement was critical and unfortgettable. “Even after State formation, Telangana could progress on all fronts only due to the dedication and commitment of electricity employees to the State,” he said.

The Minister was speaking after releasing the diary and calendar of Telangana Electrical Engineers Association for 2021 along with Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy at Pragathi Bhavan here on Monday. TS Transco and Genco chairman and managing director D Prabhakar Rao, TSSPDCL chairman and managing director Raghuma Reddy, Association president Shivaji, general secretary Rameshwar Shetty and others were also present.

Rama Rao said that due to the unflinching efforts of the management and staff of power utilities in the State, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s vision of supplying uninterrupted power could be realised. He pointed out that the Chief Minister had proved that good results can be achieved by handing over responsibilities to those who are aware of the pros and cons. He hoped that the power sector would scale greater heights as per the wishes of the Chief Minister.
