Rotary club, NMDC donate Rs 26 lakh cataract surgery machine to OGH
The Rotary Club of Hyderabad Mavericks and NMDC donated a Rs 26 lakh state-of-the-art cataract surgery machine to Osmania General Hospital. The equipment will support free and subsidised eye surgeries for underprivileged patients, with a formal handover attended by hospital and NMDC officials.

Hyderabad: The Rotary Club of Hyderabad Mavericks and National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) have collaborated to donate a state-of-the-art cataract surgery machine valued at Rs 26 lakh for the Ophthalmology wing of Osmania General Hospital (OGH) on Monday.
The advanced medical technology equipment for cataract surgery, which was formally handed over, strengthens eye care services at OGH, especially for free and subsidised eye surgeries available to poor and needy patients, Dr Rakesh Sahay, Superintendent, OGH, said.
Dr Rajarao, Principal, Osmania Medical College (OMC), Dr Atul Gupta, Head, Ophthalmology Department, P Shyam, General Manager (CSR), NMDC, Bibo Srinivas, Rotary District Secretary and others were present.
