Rotten chicken seized in surprise raid at Begumpet godown

During the raid, officials discovered that the owner was selling rotten chicken. They seized spoiled poultry meat from the premises.

Hyderabad: The Task Force (North) team along with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s (GHMC) food safety wing, conducted surprise raid at a chicken godown and seized huge quantities of rotten chicken at Prakash Nagar in Begumpet on Friday.

During the raid, officials discovered that the owner was selling rotten chicken. They seized spoiled poultry meat from the premises.


According to the reports, the rotten chicken was being supplied to nearby eateries mostly those running near liquor outlets. Further, it was also found that it was being operated without any necessary permissions or a food license.
