Karimnagar: BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar promised to supply 24 hours water to the residents of Karimnagar town soon.
To fulfill the promise made to the people of the town, they are going to supply round the clock water on a pilot basis in a few areas. Later, it would be expanded to the entire town after rectifying problems if any was developed.
The Minister laid foundations for drinking water pipeline and CC roads in Sitarampur of 21st division here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamalakar said wastage of water also would be controlled with the supply of round-the-clock water supply since people would utilise water for their needs only. The previous governments have neglected the Karimangar town during the last 70 years and subsequently the condition of roads was in bad shape. However, after coming to power in the state, he said the Telangana government has taken up all internal as well main roads in the town. There would be no dusty roads in the town in the future, he assured.
The Minister said all measures were being taken to provide better facilities to the residents of the town. As part of the plan, they were going ahead with an aim to develop Karimnagar as a beautiful and model town for the future generations. He urged the citizens of the town to act responsibly towards development and safety of their town.
Mayor Y Sunil Rao, deputy Mayor Challa Swaruparani, corporators Jangili Sagar, Sudagoni Madhavi, Bhuma Goud, Tula Rajeshwari, Kalyani, Gande Madhavi, Bonala Srikanth and others participated in the programme.
