Rovers edge past DFence 48-46 in Annual League basketball thriller

Rovers defeated DFence 48-46 in a close Annual League basketball match at YMCA Secunderabad, while BHEL and Stadium Club also registered comfortable wins in their respective encounters

Hyderabad: Rovers defeated DFence 48 – 46 after being comfortably placed 27-19 at half-time in the Annual League basketball championship at YMCA Secunderabad.

In the first quarter, Rovers with two 3-pointers from Mahesh whereas Revanth scored six points through drive-in for DFence to take a lead of 13 – 7 at end of the quarter.

In the second quarter, Rovers and DFence scored 14 and 12 points respectively as Rover led 27-19 at half time.

After the lemon break DFence tightened their defense to restrict Rovers to just nine points and in turn scored 13 points to reduce the lead 30 – 36 at end of 3rd quarter.

DFence played a fast paced game in the last quarter to score quickly however Nithin and Ganesh chipped in with timely baskets for Rovers to take the match 48 – 46.
