Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal (GHMC) Council meeting was adjourned following a verbal duel between corporators of the TRS and the BJP.

The Mayor had to adjourn the house after Champapet corporator Madhusudan Reddy from the BJP allegedly insulted the TRS party stole and also criticised TRS corporators for wearing them.

Ironically, it was when BJP members themselves were wearing their party stoles that the corporator accused the TRS party members of wearing stoles. He went to the extent of saying wearing stoles and coming to the GHMC council was unfortunate and something that they should feel ashamed of, all this while his party members were also wearing their stoles.

The verbal attack didn’t go well with the TRS members who raised strong objection and shouted slogans.

The council resumed a little later.
