Hyderabad: Royal Enfield is making deeper inroads into Telangana, as the State remains one of the key markets for the company. The motorcycle maker is seeing demand not only from Hyderabad but also from upcountry markets across the State.

Over the last two years, the company recorded a 2.5X growth in Telangana. Royal Enfield has invested in growing its retail presence and today has over 100 stores and more than 80 studio stores in the State. It has more than 17 per cent market share in the 150cc plus segment in Telangana, out of which Classic contributes to a significant 72 per cent of sales.

Jayapradeep Vasudevan, National Business Head (South & East), Royal Enfield, told Telangana Today, “In addition to Hyderabad, we have seen good demand from the district headquarters. The market is growing in places such as Khammam and Warangal. We are seeing an active community engagement in the State, driven by the base we have created in Hyderabad.”

When asked about retail expansion plans in the State, he said, “We will be adding 10-12 outlets in Telangana soon. These will be dealer-owned outlets and this format remains attractive for us. We also have 60 plus ‘Service on wheels’ bikes in the region.”

To improve customer engagement and service, the company has been adding several features to its app.

Questioned about electric vehicle and green mobility plans, Vasudevan said, “We have definite plans for electric vehicles and the concerned teams are already working in that direction.”

New Classic 350

Royal Enfield launched the all-new Classic 350 in Hyderabad, which combines the design with modern and refined ride experience. With the 349cc, fuel-injected, air/oil cooled engine, the Classic generates a power of 20.2 bhp at 6100 rpm and a torque of 27Nm at 4000rpm, resulting in low-end grunt and smooth linear power delivery.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is available in five new variants with 11 colourways, beginning with the Redditch series, the Halcyon series, the Classic Signals, the Dark series, and the Classic Chrome.

The new Classic 350 will be available at a starting price of Rs 1,84,374 for the Redditch series, Rs 1,93,123 for the Halcyon series, Rs 2,04,367 for the Classic Signals, Rs 2,11,465 for the Dark Series, and Rs 2,15,118 for the Classic Chrome (all ex-showroom, Hyderabad prices)..
