Royal United FC won the TFA B-Division Shivkumar Lal Football League Championship at Gymkhana Ground, finishing with 24 points. They beat Maisram Stars 2-1 in the final league match. Maisram Stars finished second, while BHEL won the discipline award
Hyderabad: Royal United FC, with 24 points, emerged champions in the TFA B-Division Shivkumar Lal Football League Championship at Gymkhana Ground here on Monday.
In the final league match, Royal United scored a 2-1 win against Maisram Stars, with Aditya Shaker Gopi Reddy and Shubham Tanty finding the net, while Sayeed Badhela reduced the margin for the losers.
Maisram Stars FC finished second with 21 points, while BHEL was awarded the ‘best disciplined team’ of the league.
Telangana Brand Ambassador and former football international Syed Nayemuddin gave away the prizes in the presence of Abhijeet, vice-president of TFA, and GP Palguna, secretary of TFA.
TFA thanked all the participating teams, officials and organisers for their cooperation in successfully completing the league.
