Royals of Rayalaseema defeated Tungabhadra Warriors by six wickets in the Andhra Premier League T20 championship at Kadapa. GSP Teja remained unbeaten on 73, while K Ajay Kumar claimed three wickets and earned the Player of the Match award

Hyderabad: Royals of Rayalaseema scored a six-wicket win over Tungabhadra Warriors in the Andhra Premier League T20 cricket championship at Dr YSR Stadium in Kadapa.

Batting first, Tungabhadra Warriors were restricted to 132 for nine in 20 overs, with K Anand Josaiah (61, 38b, 4×4, 5×6) being the top scorer. G Pardhasaradhi and K Ajay Kumar picked up three wickets each.

In reply, Royals chased down the target in the 15th over, with GSP Teja (73 n.o., 42b, 6×4, 5×6) and A Sai Surya Teja Reddy (30 n.o., 24b, 1×4, 2×6) being the main contributors.

Ajay Kumar was named Player of the Match.
