RPF steps up security at Secunderabad Railway Station ahead of festival rush
The Railway Protection Force has introduced crowd-management and security measures at Secunderabad Railway Station ahead of the festival rush. Measures include additional personnel, helpline booths, four holding areas for 2,000 passengers, more CCTV cameras and Quick Response Teams on standby.

Hyderabad: In view of the festival rush of passengers, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Secunderabad, has initiated a series of measures to ensure smooth passenger movement, safety and security at Secunderabad Railway Station.
The key measures include queue management, additional deployment of RPF personnel at all critical points, including FOBs, entry/exit gates along with GRP staff and home guards, passenger helpline booths at Platform No 1 and Platform No 10, designating four holding areas with a combined capacity of 2,000 passengers and enhanced surveillance with additional CCTV cameras.
Also, strict access control is being implemented, allowing entry only to passengers with valid tickets into the station premises and platforms. As part of emergency preparedness, Quick Response Teams (QRTs) will remain on standby, according to B S Sarswat, IPF/Secunderabad.
