RRB extends last date to apply for Group-D posts

Interested candidates, who could not send their job applications earlier due to some reason, can fill the forms and send them on or before March 1, 2025

Hyderabad: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), which had posted a notification for 32,438 vacancies in Group D category of Railways recently, had extended the last date for submitting the applications from February 22 to March 1, 2025.

Interested candidates, who could not send their job applications earlier due to some reason, can fill the forms and send them on or before March 1,2025.

Applications are available on the official website of RRB Chandigarh (www.rrbcdg.gov.in).

Besides, the date of submitting the application forms, changes were made in the date of paying the fees. The date to pay the fee was extended up to March 3, 2025.  Also, if there were any errors in the application forms, the candidates can check and correct them between March 4 and 13, 2025.

The selected candidates will get the pay scale of Rs 18,000.

Eligibility criterion

The minimum qualification required for RRB Group D posts is Class X from a recognized educational institution. The age of the candidate should be between 18 and 36 yearson January 1, 2025. There is an age relaxation for the candidates of reserved categories.

The candidates, both male and female, should be medically and physically fit. A physical examination will also be carried out.

Fee

The fee for the candidates of general, other backward classes (OBC) and economically weaker sections (EWS) categories is Rs 500, while it is Rs 250 for those belonging to Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe, physically handicapped, economically backward classes and women.

How to apply

• To apply for the Group D posts in Railways, go to the official website of Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) www.rrbcdg.gov.in.
• Click on CEN 8/24 (Level 1) on the website’s home page.
• Click on the application link of the Group D posts.
• Now, candidates have to click on the ‘create account’ option to register themselves.
• After registration, the candidates should fill the Group-D post form with their details.
• Pay the required fee and submit the form.

Zone-wise vacancies

Of the 32,438 vacancies in Group D category, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has notified for 1,642 Group D posts in Secunderabad.

Other zones include, Jaipur (1433), Prayagraj (2020), Hubli (503),  Jabalpur (1614), Bhubaneshwar (964), Bilaspur (1337), Delhi (4785), Chennai (2694), Gorakhpur (1370), Guwahati (2048), Kolkata ER (1817), Kolkata SER (1044), Mumbai WR (4647), Mumbai CR (3244), and Hajipur (1251).
