Warangal: The Task Force team led by Inspectors Ch Srinivas Ji and R Santosh, along with Wardhannapet police, jointly conducted vehicle checking and apprehended Mummadi Danuanjay, Gutha Hariprasad, Challam Mahesh and Gaddam Nagarjuna and recovered Rs 26,84,000 counterfeit currency in the denomination of Rs 2000, and also seized chemicals used for this purpose.

“During interrogation, the accused said that they were trying circulate the said counterfeit currency in Warangal, Kamareddy and Mahubabad areas. The property along with accused handed over to Police Wardhannapet for necessary action. In this regard, a case was registered at PS Wardhannapet vide Cr.No 45/2022 U/s 489B, 489C, 489D, 489E and 420 IPC. Apart from this accused Shiva and Mahesh have been cheating public on the pretext of making them powerful with supernatural power to the old coins. In this regard old two coins and chemical used for this processes also seized, this is subject matter in Cr.No 39/2022 U/s 420 IPC of Hasanparthy since then they are absconding now, they will be handed over to Hasanparthy police for further investigation,” CP Warangal said in a press note here on Wednesday. Four others are absconding in the case.
