Hyderabad: The State Government released Rs 310.464 crore for construction of a four km retaining wall as part of the Lower Manair beautification and strengthening works under Manair River Front. Orders to this effect were issued on Friday. The order copy was personally handed over by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar at Pragathi Bhavan.
The Minister thanked Chandrashekhar Rao after receiving the order copy. As part of Manair River Front, Rs 80 crore have been spent towards construction of check dams and Rs 190 crore for cable bridge. A coordination meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday.
Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud, Kamalakar and officials concerned will participate in the meeting to discuss modalities to float tenders for preparation of Detailed Project Report to execute the works.
