Warangal Urban: GWMC sanitary inspector (SI) Karunakar on Wednesday said the civic body had imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on the owner of the Triveni Supermarket located near the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal.

Based on a complaint lodged by a customer, Ramesh, the GWMC officials carried out inspections in the supermarket and found they were selling Priya pickles which had expired on 03/2019 (labelled), and seized them.


The SI also said the supermarket was warned that it would be seized if such incidents were repeated. SI Ravinder, Jawans Eliya, Anil and Ravi were present during the inspection.
