“The Telangana State, under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, has been encouraging sportspersons who excelled in international and national events. We are working hard to make the State a sports hub.
We introduced 2 per cent job reservation for athletes and 0.5 per cent admissions in education for sportspersons. We are also encouraging athletes by giving them cash incentives. We are going to come out with the best Sports Policy in the country soon. We also have three Sports Schools in the State and we need the Centre’s support to establish three more sports schools in the State,” said the Minister.
