Hyderabad: BRS leader RS Praveen Kumar has condemned the suspension of MLA G Jagadish Reddy for the entire Assembly Budget session, calling it a cowardly act by the Congress government. He charged the ruling party with silencing the opposition out of fear.

In a statement, Praveen Kumar asserted that Jagadish Reddy neither disrespected the Speaker/the House nor engaged in any illegal act, unlike Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who is known for using obscene language and derogatory remarks. He questioned why the suspension was imposed without consulting floor leaders or offering an opportunity for an apology.

He alleged that the Congress government feared that BRS MLAs would expose its frauds, injustices and lies. He also condemned the arrest of BRS legislators protesting against the suspension at Dr BR Ambedkar’s statue, stating that the party would continue to question the Congress government’s failures despite attempts to suppress dissent.
