Hyderabad: BRS leader RS Praveen Kumar condemned the attack on BRS working president KT Rama Rao‘s vehicle by Youth Congress workers at Musheerabad in Hyderabad on Tuesday. He questioned the delay in registering a case against the perpetrators even 24 hours after the incident.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan here on Wednesday, Praveen Kumar said the attack took place in broad daylight, raising suspicions about police involvement. “The police have not arrested the accused even after 24 hours, which raises serious questions about their role in the conspiracy,” he stated.

He pointed out the double standards in the police action noting that cases were filed against BRS activists who resisted the attack on Telangana Bhavan by the Congress workers, but no action was taken against those who attempted to burn an effigy.

The BRS leader suspected that the attack was orchestrated as part of diversionary politics by the Revanth Reddy government from the Rs 1.5 lakh crore Musi project scam. He stated that the Chief Minister colluded with the World Bank and as its agent, turned HYDRAA into a weapon for completing the beautification project for financial gain. “We will face any number of attacks by these World Bank agents and continue to stand with the people,” he declared, adding that Revanth Reddy would meet a similar fate to that of the Rajapakse government in Sri Lanka for the atrocities by the Anumula brothers.
