Kumram Bheem Asifabad: BRS leader Dr RS Praveen Kumar on Monday demanded that the State government immediately release the pending salaries of Mission Bhagiratha employees, who have not been paid for the past five months. He interacted with the staff in Kagaznagar to understand their difficulties.

Praveen Kumar said the employees play a vital role in the implementation of the drinking water scheme by cleaning tanks and supplying water to households. “They are facing hardship due to the delay in salaries. How can they meet daily expenses? Should they starve while everyone celebrated Dasara?” he asked.

The BRS State general secretary questioned whether Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and MLCs were receiving their salaries every month without delay. He pointed out that executing agencies such as L&T were making profits while scheme employees continued to struggle. “Is it fair?” he asked.

He urged the government to release the pending wages without further delay and demanded that Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao intervene to resolve the issue. He also asked Rao to personally meet the employees and extend support. Otherwise, he warned, they would be forced to take to the streets in protest.

BRS leader Lendugure Shyam Rao and others were present.
