Kumram Bheem Asifabad: BRS leader Dr RS Praveen Kumar on Thursday slammed the Congress government for registering a case under the SC, ST Act against the party’s working president KT Rama Rao in Nakrekal police station of Nalgonda district.

Addressing the media persons in Kagaznagar, Praveen Kumar wondered as to why Rama Rao was framed without committing a crime. “Why was the case booked? Did he abuse Dalits? Is he aware of the caste of accused persons involved in leakage of SSC mathematics question paper? Don’t students belong to SC communities? Was the case registered against Rao for erecting a 125-feet high statue of Dr BR Ambedkar?” he questioned, stating that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy should be booked for claiming the lives of 80 students studying in government-run residential schools, for diverting funds relating to SC, ST Sub Plan and for insulting Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka at the Sri Laksmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri. The SC, ST Prevention of Atrocities Act should be invoked against Reddy for failing to fulfill many promises as well, he said.

Stating that Revanth Reddy was an inefficient administrator, he said Reddy, who holds the portfolio of Education ministry, failed to conduct the annual examinations of Class X properly. He asked how the accused had gained access to an examination centre when policemen and officials were on duty, and wondered what intelligence and police systems were doing till the question papers went viral on social media platforms.

He demanded the government to immediately withdraw cases booked against Rama Rao, Telangana Digital Media former director Dileep Konatham and BRS leader Manne Krishank.
