RSPB thrash CISF 5-1 in Hockey India Inter-Department Championship
RSPB defeated CISF 5-1 in their Pool D match of the Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship in Hyderabad on Tuesday. BM Seshe Gowda scored twice, while Central Secretariat and Punjab National Bank played out a 1-1 draw
Hyderabad: Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB), riding on a brace from BM Seshe Gowda, cruised to a comfortable 5-1 win over Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in their Pool D match of the 6th Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship 2026 at the Gachibowli Hockey Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
In another match, Central Secretariat came from behind to hold Punjab National Bank to a 1-1 draw. After a barren first half in which neither side was able to score, Punjab National Bank took the lead in the 34th minute through a penalty-corner effort by Gursimran Singh.
Aniket Gurav came to the rescue of Central Secretariat, scoring in the 46th minute to help his side share the points with their rivals.
