Hyderabad: The fourth edition of ‘NMDC Grace Cancer Run’ being organised by Grace Cancer Foundation (GCF) will be held on October 10 at Gachibowli stadium. This year’s Grace Cancer Run will be held in a hybrid format comprising both virtual and in-person runs. While the in-person run will be held from 6 am on Sunday at Gachibowli stadium, interested runners can participate in the virtual run from across 150 countries.

The hybrid format enables participants to choose as per their convenience between the virtual and physical running. The virtual run amplifies the reach of the message on early cancer detection and prevention across the globe, Dr Chinnababu Sunkavalli, CEO, Grace Cancer Foundation, said.

The theme for this year’s cancer run is ‘Freedom from Cancer’, which is inspired by 75 years of India’s Independence celebrations, ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.’

The cancer run is being organised in three categories including 5K, 10K and a half marathon with a distance of 21.1 km. Registered participants will be provided with an ‘e-bib’ and they have to log on to health activity applications like Strava to record their run. After completing the run, they have to post their distance along with a selfie or photograph with the bib on the chest for the organisers to record their participation. The run is sponsored by NMDC and powered by Ryan and Apollo Hospitals. For details: http://gracecancerphysicalrun.iq301.com/
