Medak: Finance Minister T Harish Rao has said the State government will soon release Rs 7,200 crores towards Rythu Bandhu to the farmers in the State for Yasangi season.

Speaking at a function after distributing units to 22 Scheduled Caste small time businessmen from Havalighanput mandal in Medak on Wednesday, the Minister said the government has been continuing with all the welfare schemes without any interruption despite financial challenges on account of Covid-19 pandemic.

The government, he said, was extending bank linkage for loans to SC and ST Communities at 80 to 90 per cent subsidy. He said that no other State in the country can match Telangana in providing subsidised loans to SC communities.

Saying that the government extended Rythu Bandhu benefit to all the beneficiaries in the State for Vanakalam to ensure financial assistance to farmers, Harish Rao said they have been continuing with welfare schemes such as Rythu Bandhu, Kalyanalakshmi, Aasara pension, KCR Kits and others by cutting down expenditure in other sectors during the past one year.

The Finance Minister has also distributed Kalyanalakshmi cheques to 33 beneficiaries from Havelighanpur Mandal on this occasion.

Suggesting the officials to come up with a plan to build a shopping complex around Medak Mandal Parishad office, Rao has observed that it will help the Mandal Parishad office to raise some income every month.

MLA, Medak,  M Padmadevendar Reddy, ZP Vice-chairman, Lavanya Reddy, RDO, Sairam, Medak Municipal Chairman, Chandrapal, Executive Director, SC Corporation Devaiah and others were present.
