Karimnagar: BRS activists staged a protest in Manakondur mandal headquarters on Sunday against the State government’s decision to provide only Rs.12000 per acre instead of the promised Rs. 15000 promised under Rythu Bharosa.

BRS workers led by district president GV Ramakrishna Rao and former MLA Rasamai Balkishan burnt the effigy of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for going back on his promise. Speaking on the occasion, they said that with an aim to capture power in the State, Revanth Reddy made impossible promises before the elections.

Unable to implement them, he was now chanting a different mantra. Demanding the State government to provide Rs 15000 as promised before elections, they warned to intensify the agitation if the government failed to fulfill its promise.
