Sabita Indra Reddy accuses CM Revanth Reddy of stalling key projects in Vikarabad
Former Minister Sabita Indra Reddy criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for failing to allocate funds and complete key development projects in Vikarabad and Ranga Reddy districts. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, she questioned the delay in completing the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project and condemned the scrapping of the Raidurg–Shamshabad metro line.
Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior legislator P Sabita Indra Reddy on Tuesday slammed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for neglecting development in Vikarabad and Ranga Reddy districts. She said that despite long-pending demands, not a single rupee had been allocated for Vikarabad in the last two years.
Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan, the former Minister questioned why the remaining 10 per cent works of Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project remained incomplete, rendering it non-functional.
“Being a member of the then YSR’s Cabinet, I pushed for the extension of Pranahitha Lift Irrigation Scheme up to Chevella,” she recalled.
Sabita Indra Reddy said Revanth Reddy was the first Chief Minister who failed to carry forward the development initiative taken up by previous governments. She criticised the government for scrapping the Raidurg-Shamshabad metro line, initiated by the previous BRS government.
“Revanth Reddy is only trying to blame former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and create trouble, rather than addressing people’s problems,” she said.
