Mancherial: Sadhana Rashmi Perumal assumed the charge as Mancherial Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), replacing Akhil Mahajan, on Thursday. Akhil was transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) of Ramagundam commissionerate.
Later, Rashmi called on Ramagundam Commissioner of Police S Chandrasekhar Reddy and presented a sapling to him.
A 2019 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, Sadhana was the only woman IPS probationary officer allotted to Telangana. She achieved 216th rank in the Civil Services Examination held in 2018 in her fifth attempt. She is the daughter of Colonel SM Perumal, a martyred Army officer. She is a law graduate and hails from Secunderabad.
