Safe treatment facilities for pregnant women in govt hospitals: Harish Rao

Sangareddy: Health and Finance Minister T Harish Rao called upon the pregnant women who tested positive for Covid-19 or suffering from symptoms not to get panicky. He said the Government has created separate facilities for pregnant women at all the government hospitals to provide safe treatment and delivery to the pregnant women by taking all the precautions.
Talking to reporters after examining the progress of fever survey at ICRISAT fencing colony in Ramachandrapuram Mandal of Sangareddy district on Sunday, the Minister has suggested them not to visit private hospitals since they would charge them exorbitantly.
Saying that the fever survey was taken up with an objective to reach out the patients, Rao said that the health staff had covered 29.20 lakh families across the state in the first two days of fever survey and given one lakh home isolation kits to people who were suffering from different symptoms. He said that they have kept ready 56,000 Covid-19 beds in government hospitals across Telangana.
Saying that the cases were started coming down in various states in the country, the Health Minister hoped that the cases will come down in Telangana. However, he cautioned the people must wear masks besides washing their hands frequently. MLA Patancheru Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Corporator V Sindhu Adarsh Reddy and others were present.
