Hyderabad: Captain G Sai Karteek recorded twin victories as Osmania University defeated MD University, Rohtak 3-1 to make it to the semifinals of the All India inter-university championship at the Kalinga University of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneshwar, on Saturday.
In the first singles, Sai Karteek Reddy defeated Amandeep 6-1, 6-2 while Suhith downed Dipinder 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 to give Osmania University 2-0 lead.
However, the doubles pair of Akash and Nikhil lost to Dipinder and Nitin 2-6, 2-6. In the third singles, Sai Karteek was in lead at 6-0, 2-0 when Dipinder retired.
