BBC and NorthStar Entertainment have joined hands for the upcoming web series titled ‘Gaalivaana’ starring senior actor Sai Kumar and actor Radhika Sarathkumar in the lead roles. It has been 50 years since Sai Kumar started his journey as a film actor. After essaying a number of amazing roles as a male protagonist and a character artiste, he is now stepping into the OTT world with ‘Gaalivaana’.
As for Radhika, the versatile actor has been a successful film artiste, besides taking the television segment by storm over the years. She is embarking on an exciting journey in the OTT space now. Other actors also include Chandini Chowdary, Nandini Rai, Chaitanya Krishna, Thagubothu Ramesh, Jyothi Pradeep, and Ashritha Vemuganti.
“We have already started the shoot of the web series. It’s the first time that a European show has been adapted into Telugu. Suitable changes have been made to the original to suit the Telugu nativity,” said the makers. BBC is entering the regional market with the show. Sharan Kopisetty of ‘Thimmarasu’ fame is directing the film. Sujatha Siddartha is the cinematographer.
