Sai Superstars, KVBR take honours in FIBA 5×5 basketball tourney

While Sai Superstars emerged on top in overtime against Nizam Basketball Academy at 47-43, KVBR Club got the measure of The Future Kids School 41-32

Hyderabad: Sai Superstars and KVBR Club emerged winners in the FIBA 5×5 basketball tournament, conducted by FIBA Club at the Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills. While Sai Superstars emerged on top in overtime against Nizam Basketball Academy at 47-43, KVBR Club got the measure of The Future Kids School 41-32. In the boys under 16 category Team Hotshots defeated Team Sritej 48-42 to emerge as winner.

Karthik Chaddha with 18 points, Sai Saatvik 12 points and Subhash with 10 did the bulk of scoring for Sai Superstars, it was Anthony and Majid with 10 points apiece and Mohan with 9, Charan with 8 who were the scorers for NBA.

The supremacy of the KVBR was never in doubt with Mohana Motha and Nidhi dominating with their shooting even though Aditi and Sriya were scoring for FKS.

In the boys under 16 final, Armaan and Aakash K were impressive for Team Hotshots while Akshith and Akash did well for Team Sritej.

Norman Isaac, General Secretary, Telangana Basketball Association, Peter Divakar, Chairman Technical Commission TBA, Anwar coordinator at Apollo distributed the trophies and medals to the teams.
