Mancherial: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Managing Director VC Sajjanar addressed a grievance of passengers of the district town by assuring to ply additional buses on Luxettipet-Karimnagar route. He responded to a message sent by a user from Dandepalli mandal on micro-blogging site Twitter on Tuesday.
Thota Pavan Varma, a resident of Muthyampet village in Dandepalli mandal, messaged Sajjanar explaining the inconvenience of passengers, caused due to lack of sufficient bus services on Luxettipet-Karimnagar stretch after 9 pm.
“We are unhappy with the services of TSRTC. There are only a few buses on this route. Please provide extra buses,” he requested the managing director.

“Inconvenience is deeply regretted. Please reach out to Padmavathi who will coordinate and examine the feasibility,” Sajjanar wrote in reply. Pawan approached Padmavathi, an official of TSRTC, who promised to resolve the issue at the earliest. He thanked the MD for responding to his message on Twitter and for swiftly addressing the grievance.
In the meantime, Sajjanar took steps to resume a bus service to Chinnagudipet and Wadala villages in Bheemini mandal, as per a plea made by Bellampalli MLA Durgam Chinnaiah on Monday. The service was suspended following poor occupancy ratio during Covid-19 lockdown in 2019. Villagers thanked Sajjanar for restarting the facility.
On behalf of the villagers, Manoj Pandey, a Twitter user, thanked Sajjanar on the micro-blogging site for resuming the facility to the two villages. Residents of the two habitations were left with no option but to rely on private carriers such as auto-rickshaws and jeeps to reach nearby Kaghaznagar and Bellampalli towns, shelling huge amounts.
On Monday, Sajjanar provided additional bus services from Chennur to Kotapalli mandal centre for the convenience of students of government run Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya when headmistress of the institution Bharati brought the plight of the pupils to his notice on Twitter.
The facility brought cheers to the students belonging to different parts of Chennur and Kotapalli manals who study at the school.
