Salary hike for contract faculty in Telangana
A minimum pay scale to contract lecturers in the government polytechnics has been revised from Rs 40,270 per month to Rs 58,850 per month in the Revised Pay Scales, 2020
Hyderabad: The State government on Thursday issued orders enhancing remuneration to the faculty working on a contract basis in the Government Polytechnic, Junior and Degree Colleges across the State.
According to the order, a minimum pay scale to contract lecturers in the government polytechnics has been revised from Rs 40,270 per month to Rs 58,850 per month in the Revised Pay Scales, 2020.
Similarly, another order was issued revising the minimum pay scale for contract junior lecturers working in the Government Junior Colleges from Rs 37,100 per month to Rs 54,220 per month. Likewise, the minimum pay scale of the faculty working on a contract basis in the Government Degree Colleges was enhanced to Rs 58,850 per month from Rs 40,270 per month in the Revised Pay Scales, 2020.
The revised remuneration will be paid from June 2021, payable in July. Telangana State Government Colleges Contract Lecturers Association, president, G Ramana Reddy, general secretary, Dr K Suresh and other members of the association thanked Chief Minister
K Chandrashekhar Rao, Ministers T Harish Rao, P Sabitha Indra Reddy and G Jagadish Reddy for issuing the orders.
