Salesforce commits to train one million Indians in AI skills by 2030

Hyderabad: Salesforce here on Tuesday announced a commitment to equip one million learners across India with AI-focused skills by 2030. The announcement comes as Salesforce India’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) celebrates 10 years of innovation and growth.
Government-backed AI skilling programmes in collaboration with bodies such as IndiaAI and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India, Salesforce has planned to equip India’s next generation with AI-ready skills.
The Virtual Internship Programme with AICTE empowers students with hands-on project experience, helping students across India’s towns and cities build job-ready Salesforce and AI skills, a press release said.
Salesforce – South Asia president and CEO Arundhati Bhattacharya said India earned its place at the center of the global technology story — not by following trends, but by shaping them. “Our commitment to skill 1 million learners by 2030 reflects a firm belief that India’s workforce is not just ready for the AI economy — it is ready to lead it,” she said.
