Hyderabad: Actor Allu Arjun attended proceedings in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case through video conference before the Nampally Criminal Court on Monday afternoon, after obtaining permission from the court.

According to the defence counsel, the actor was in Mumbai for film shooting commitments and sought exemption from personal appearance. The court further allowed him to join the hearing virtually, while the other suspects, except two from the theatre management, had appeared in person.

Police named Allu Arjun as Accused No. 11, in the case related to the fatal stampede outside Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule in December 2024.

After hearing the matter, the court adjourned the case to July 6 for further proceedings.

The actor’s counsel informed the court that he is likely to attend the next hearing through video conference as well.
