Sangareddy Collectorate ramp cleared after Telangana Today highlights hurdles for disabled persons

Sangareddy Additional Collector R Pandu directed his driver to move his car blocking the Collectorate ramp after a Telangana Today report. However, physically challenged persons continued to face difficulties due to inadequate seating and attendant facilities at the entrance.

Sangareddy: The Additional Collector R Pandu directed his driver to keep his car aside to provide smooth access to physically challenged people into the Collectorate after ‘Telangana Today’ carried a news article highlighting the hurdles being faced by them. As the car was blocking the ramp built for handicapped people to provide them access to the Collectorate, the news article highlighted their struggles last Monday.

However, the physically challenged persons who came to the Collectorate this Monday to file complaints about various issues being faced by them were also seen struggling. Since there was no proper attendant to take care of them and there were not enough chairs, the handicapped persons were seen walking on the ramp into the office. The attendants who accompanied the handicapped persons to the Collector’s office were seen helping them to enter the office. The physically challenged persons urged Collector Prateek Jain and other officials to provide proper arrangements at the entrance besides accepting their complaints on priority. They further urged the officials to resolve their grievances on priority since they would find it difficult to make multiple visits to the office.
