Sangareddy: Malkapuram Shiva Kumar, Chairman of District Cooperative and Marketing Society (DCMS), erstwhile Medak district, said the society was aiming at achieving Rs 100 crore turnover in the next few years with various initiatives.
Saying that they were going to set up multiple outlets to sell fertilizers at a cheaper rate to farmers across the old Medak district, the DCMS Chairman said that the effort will not only benefit the farmers and it would also create employment for the rural youth besides creating business to DCMS.
During the general body meeting of DCMS held in Sangareddy Collectorate on Friday, Shiva Kumar said that they have improved to Rs 10 crore from losses within three years.
Stating that they were setting up Rythu Seva Kendras to reach out to the farmers at the grassroots level, he said that they were also playing a vital role in paddy procurement by setting up procurement centers.
The DCMS Chairman further said that they will take all the benefits introduced by the Telangana government at the doorstep of farmers in the State. The general body also discussed the construction of a shopping complex on its land at Zaheerabad town.
Vice-chairman Arige Ramesh, Directors Swamy, Venkat Goud, Kanakaraju, Manyaiah, Venkateshwarlu and others were present.
