Sangaredddy: A doctor couple from Hyderabad, Dr Ajesh Raj and Dr Sumina Reddy, have donated Rs 1.25 lakh for the establishment of a library at Primary School, Kasargutty, in Naguglgidda mandal of Sangareddy district. Kasargutty is a remote village located on Telangana-Karnataka borders in the district.
The couple handed over the cheque to Dr Sudhakar Nayak, founder of Sarvodaya Grama Seva Foundation (SGSF), which has been conducting various social service activities across erstwhile Medak district. With the support of donors, the SGSF has set up five libraries in different government schools in the district so far. Impressed by the work of SGSF, the couple came forward to extend financial support to set up a library in another school in the district.
Speaking to Telangana Today, Dr Nayak said that Dr Raj and Dr Reddy have extended support to them on various fronts since they started working in Sangaredy district. He urged the people to take inspiration from the doctor couple to support them in setting up libraries in remote places for the benefit of school children from poor families.
