Sangareddy: Local DSP Sattaiah Goud’s behavior came under sharp criticism as he threatened to hit protesting MRF workers with a chappal on Friday.
Sattaiah tried to pacify the MRF employees, who were protesting at the Sadasivapet office against the management for removing them from their jobs.
However, the protesting employees stubbornly continued their agitation. Irritated with their protest, the DSP used foul language against them and threatened to hit them with chappal. A video of Sataiah Goud abusing the workers went viral on social media.
The workers alleged that Sataiah Goud threatened to resort to lathi charge to chase them away from the place. Frightened by the behaviour of the police, the workers met Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, who was on Sangareddy tour, and urged his intervention in the matter.
He assured the workers that the the management would do justice to them.
Goud’s move to support the management, instead of supporting them, came as a shock to the workers . They urged the government to initiate action against the DSP for his rude behaviour.
