Sangareddy: Family trip turns tragic as devotee slips into pushkarani and dies

A 43-year-old man, Danasiri Thukaram of Khasimpur, drowned in the pushkarani of the Panduranga Vitaleshwara Swamy Temple at Antharam in Munipally mandal on Tuesday. He slipped while taking a spiritual bath during annual rituals. Police have registered a case.

Sangareddy: A family’s visit to a temple turned tragic when one of its members drowned in the temple pushkarani while taking a spiritual bath on the premises of the Panduranga Vitaleshwara Swamy Temple at Antharam village in Munipally mandal on Tuesday. The deceased, Danasiri Thukaram, 43, was a resident of Khasimpur in Zaheerabad mandal.

Thukaram, who had arrived with his family to offer prayers to the presiding deity and take part in the ongoing annual rituals, accidentally slipped into the pushkarani. His body was later retrieved from the water. A case has been registered.
