Hyderabad: Maanaveeya Development and Finance Private Limited, the Indian subsidiary of Oikocredit, a 45-year old global development financing institution as part of its CSR initiative have partnered with Akshaya Patra Foundation and pledged to support a customised food delivery vehicle at Kandi Kitchen, Sangareddy.
The vehicle will help in reaching more than 3,000 rural mid-day meals beneficiaries and ensure that the Government school children get nutritious and hot cooked meals every day. Apart from the vehicle, the organisation also extended dry ration kits to over 2,500 children during the pandemic, Akshaya Patra Foundation said.
The members of the Akshaya Patra Foundation expressed their gratitude to the financial institution for dedicated support in feeding nutritious food to the Government school children of Telangana State.
MD, Maanaveeya Development and Finance Private Limited, Gouri Sankar said, “We are happy to partner with Akshaya Patra, and support them with the customised food delivery vehicle. We were also supporting over 2,500 children with happiness kits during the pandemic when the schools were closed and the children were deprived of the regular mid-day meals”.
In the past, Maanaveeya provided support to the distressed during the pandemic. It also supported the Kandi Kitchen facility with a solar power plant during the year 2019-20.
