Sangareddy: One person died and four others including a 40-day old infant sustained injuries when the car traveling in hit an oncoming lorry on NH-161 at Kansanaplly in Andole Mandal on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Shakeel (27), a resident of Hyderabad.
Shakeel along with his wife Fathima Begum, their 40-days old son, mother Shabna Begum and brother Fakiruddin were on their way back after attending a function at Verni in Nizamabad district when the incident happened. Shakeel died on the spot while the remaining four have sustained serious injuries.
The injured were rushed to a hospital in Hyderabad after providing first-aid at Area Hospital Jogipet.
The Jogipet Police have registered a case.
